Gracefully Patient

“The calendar of grace is longer than some know. All that we do to push our peers—and ourselves—to grow in holiness and build traits of upright character will not make grain mature more rapidly than God decrees or hyper-ripen still-green fruit upon the vine. God’s work in every human heart is measured by the calendar He knows, and He so frequently displays a patience lost on us who seem to need the metrics now. Much better, then, to find the seasons of His grace, to pray and live aligned with Him whose purpose for our growth knows no haste and no delay. So stay in grace.”
