The Gift of Joyful Life

“Grace finally quiets anxious hearts, for it reminds us we are helpless by ourselves to change the things that matter most. We can’t earn the heaven we seek, nor win the kindness of our Lord by spiritual accomplishment. Unless the grace of Christ arrives, we’ll never reconcile with enemies—or friends—when angry words or deeds obtrude. Only the favor of our God allows us hope beyond the grave, and dignifies our lives by proving that our daily work has meaning. We either live in grace, or we begin, by small degrees, to die. Receive Christ’s gift of joyful life—and stay in grace.”
