Bible Festival
Sponsored by NAD/Youth Dept
This Bible rewrite (involving thousands of youth) will be a paraphrase,
taking place on the streets and squares of St. Louis. Adventists
from the convention as well as youth from area churches, synagogues,
and mosques will participate. Each person will write a portion of
Scripture as they see it, putting it in their own words. The resulting
version will hardly be “authorized,” but it will reflect
a community’s understanding and view of Scripture at a certain
place and time. The resulting “St. Louis Bible” will
be presented to the city of St. Louis as a gift. This event is being
planned and coordinated by the Youth Department of the North American
Division. Various denominational groups in St. Louis have been invited
to participate. (Look for time and place announcements.)
