Give & Take

Think About It

This is the story of four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done and Everybody was asked to do it. Everybody was sure Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody would not do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Adventist Life

This past fall my son Javad came home from school excited about an upcoming field trip to a local farm and pumpkin patch. “Please, come with us! I want you to take care of my classmates and me,” he said. Since he actually remembered to tell me about this ahead of time rather than the day before, I told him I would ask for the day off to go on the trip. He replied, “Ask your boss [Bill Knott] to let you go. If he’s a Christian, he will!”

Sermon In Seven

What motivates sacrifice? Do you agree with this?

Sacrifice is
about love,
not about
courage.
