Adventist Hospital, and Florida Hospital Altamonte. She is survived by her
husband, Michael.
BARRETT, William E., Jr.—b. Nov. 26, 1953, Toledo, Ohio; d. Dec. 27, 2009, Daytona Beach, Fla. He served as a pastor in Florida. He is survived by his wife, Gale; daughter, Johanna Wright; and two grandchildren.
BARTLETT, Alvin Marbert—b. Apr. 20, 1910, Roswell, N.Mex.; d. Aug. 14, 2009, Yuma, Ariz. He served in several states, as well as Indonesia, as pastor, educator, and conference and university president. He is survived by his wife, Ruby; sons Carl and Dwight; daughter, Elana; sisters Frances Craw and Louise Walcott; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two stepdaughters.
BERTOLO, Hulda—b. Sept. 3, 1940, Parana, Argentina; d. Mar. 6, 2010, Apopka, Fla. She taught at River Plate University in Argentina.
BROWNLOW, Harmon C.—b. Dec. 11, 1928, Winston-Salem, N.C.; d. Nov. 16, 2009, Altamonte Springs, Fla. He served as pastor and evangelist in the Carolina, Kentucky-Tennessee, Georgia-Cumberland, and Southeastern California conferences and in Mid-America Union Conference. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; sons Joe and John; daughter, Jeanie Boyd; sisters Willie Reavis and Ruth Kilby; and six grandchildren.
CARTER, Howard Wilson—b. June 13, 1928, Kodicanal, India; d. Nov. 23, 2009, Rogue River, Oreg. He served as principal of junior academies, business manager, and pastor in California and Oregon. He also served as principal of the seminary in Pakistan. He is survived by his wife, Audrey; sons Raymond and Robert; daughter, Rosemary Withem; sisters Ellen and Eloise; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

b. Santa Marta, Colombia; d. May 25, 2010, Silver Spring, Md. He served as a pastor, teacher, and school/college administrator and president in Colombia, Venezuela, and the Dominican Republic. He was preceded in death by his son, Samuel. He is survived by his wife, Teresa; sons Mario, Jose Luis, and Ruben; brother, Jose Alberto; and six grandchildren.

He served in treasury for the Georgia-Cumberland and Alabama-Mississippi conferences and Southern California Conference Association. He also served as an accountant at Highland Academy, accountant and auditor for the Southern Union and Atlantic Union conferences, and auditor for the General Conference Auditing Service. He is survived by his wife, Jerry; sons Leslie and Charles; sister, Florence Spurlock; and one grandchild.

Conference. She is survived by her brother, Max DeCamp; and sister,

JEMSON, Willard D.—b. Apr. 4, 1910, Nanaimo, British Columbia; d. Apr. 15, 2010, Port Charlotte, Fla. He served as manager of Atlantic Union College Press, Andrews University Press, and assistant to the general manager of the Review and Herald Publishing Association. He also served as president of Philippine Publishing House and Indonesia Publishing House. He was predeceased
by his wife, Ruby, and son, Cyril. He
is survived by his sister, Ramona
Anderson; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
LUTZ-BARTELSON, Vera—b. June 15, 1924, Wells County, Ind.; d. Feb. 10, 2010, Tavares, Fla. She served as an elementary school teacher in Indiana and Florida. She was predeceased by her first husband, Phil Lutz, Sr., and her second husband, Willis Bartelson. She is survived by her son, Phillip Lutz, Jr.; daughters Phyllis Lutz Harding and Sherry Bartelson Workman; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
