My parents were visiting my sister, who lived at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. An afternoon program in the men’s dorm entitled “The End-time” was being advertised. My father wanted to go, so my sister agreed, and coerced her two earliteen sons to accompany them.
As they got out of their car to go into the dorm, a sudden cloudburst thoroughly soaked them. Dripping, they went inside.
Near the end of the presentation, one of the college boys, playing a prank, opened the back door to the worship room where the lecture was taking place, let out a bloodcurdling scream, and slammed the door shut.
As they were leaving the lecture, one of my sister’s sons remarked, “ Well, Mom, not only did we learn about the end-time—we experienced the ‘latter rain’ and the ‘loud cry’!”

I am a 30-year-old father of two with a wonderful wife. For my birthday this year my mother, who has been overjoyed with my fairly recent baptism and joining the Adventist Church, sent me a card with a short letter inside it.
