Outreach Health

Ever since I was 10 it’s been my desire to be involved in helping people become whole and healthy. On the day I was accepted into medical school, the dean of the university asked me why I wanted to become a doctor. I told him I wanted to heal people. He quickly responded: “We don’t heal people, Chidi; we treat people.” I was more than a little disappointed.

I soon remembered some of the books that first piqued my interest in medicine, however: The Ministry of Healing and Medical Ministry, by Ellen White. They showed me that medicine is about much more than treating people; it’s about healing people physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Prominent Practice

After training in surgery, general practice, and lifestyle medicine, I established a lifestyle medicine practice on world-famous Harley Street in London. Life Colours Clinic helps to reverse, improve, and prevent many of the chronic lifestyle illnesses people struggle with today, such as diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, cancer, obesity, arthritis, and much more. It’s a privilege to help those who are ill to get back on the path to wellness.

Soon after I opened the clinic, local and national journalists began to hear about it, and I had the opportunity to treat some of them and their family members. They saw significant health improvements within just a few weeks. I also developed written health plans to help them avoid the recurrence of disease. This led to numerous requests to write regularly for various national and global newspapers.

What an opportunity the Lord provided: sending messages of hope and healing into the homes of people throughout Britain and other world regions! The Lord then opened a door to present a regular “health slot” on national radio, where I take calls from the public and answer questions about health issues. I focus mainly on simple practices that improve health and well-being.

Collaborating With the BBC

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is now working with me to produce an international health program that will help teach viewers how to better care for their health. I’ve also written a health book, Life Colours, that focuses on simple ways to reverse or prevent disease and improve health.

I’m certainly enjoying this journey. I like to tell people that I’m one of the happiest doctors on earth because my patients get well! I recognize also that the success I have had is totally the result of the Lord’s leading and inspiration. It happens through God alone. When we give our dreams and desires to God, He takes us places we could never have imagined.

As the saying goes: “To turn illness into wellness, you need to turn ‘I’ into ‘WE.’ ” Together, with God’s leading, we can heal people throughout our communities, our countries, and our world.

Let’s make it happen.
