A Christian mother sent a letter to the GLOW office to share an experience of her 14-year-old daughter, Savannah, who was attending public high school for the summer. Used to the environment of a Christian school, Savannah was complaining about the behavior of the other students. Then one day during class she noticed a boy sitting next to her open his binder, pull out two GLOW tracts, and begin to read them. One of his friends questioned him about what he was reading, so he gave the tracts to him to read as well. When they had both finished reading them, the boy put them back into his binder. “Savannah was amazed,” the mother wrote, “and she believes God allowed her to see that [in order] to show her how much He loves kids in public school and is working to save them, too, and that there are kids out there who really do want to know God and the truth.”
While handing out GLOW tracts one day, a young man, who was paired with another church member, asked his partner how he had come to learn about Jesus and the Adventist Church. “Because of your tracts,” the man answered. He then explained that about a year before, his wife had attended an annual cotton festival, at which some people were passing out GLOW tracts. One of the tract distributors gave a tract to the man’s wife and invited her to come to church. His wife accepted the invitation and began attending the local Adventist church. She shared what she was learning about the Bible with her husband, and he started attending too. They began taking Bible studies together, and were soon baptized.
