Walking in Grace

“We tell our stories of grace and change as though it should always be high noon on the Damascus Road, with blinding lights and knock-down confrontations. But grace is better learned on roads like those to Bethany and Emmaus, where candid conversation, fears, and hopes unfold through undramatic miles. Remember that even Paul himself was healed by the godly prayers—and touch—of another believer. While Jesus will reach us as He can—at midnight, on the cliff if necessary—He much prefers we learn of Him by walking roads He loves to travel with us. We grow in grace when we go walking with Christ’s friends. Keep walking—and stay in grace.”
