The Numbers of Grace

“When only 1 completely trusts in grace, grace is a gift, as when it flowed to us from Christ. When 2 believe, forgiveness and the healing of our wounds become both thinkable and doable—because the Spirit wills it. But when the grace of our triune God is welcomed in fresh triads of believers, a new community is born—more powerful, more practical than anything the world has dared imagine. No cool and passionless assembly here, but men and women extending grace to each other, continuously releasing each other and their world from guilt, shame, and bitterness. The indispensable integer of grace is 3—first given; then shared; then finally—abundantly—lived. So build the kingdom, and stay in grace.”
