The Grip of Grace

“When we tell our stories of grace, it’s the ‘foundness,’ not the lostness, that others should remember. The misery, dark and deep, that was our life is just the sea on which Christ strides—confident, compassionate, and powerful to save. No storm of sin, intense and threatening to sink us, should be the memory of our tale. It’s the hand that pulled us from the waves that hearers should recall; the strength that brought us to the boat; the grace that lands us ultimately onshore. Thank goodness—no, thank Jesus—that His love still rescues sinners. And stay in grace.”
