While shallow hearts forgive themselves for sins not even half-repented of, so many of us miss the unbound happiness of trusting in a Saviour who genuinely loves us. So when we give ourselves to grace, let ‘yes’ be truly ‘yes’—no ‘but,’ no ‘yet,’ no moderating ‘maybe.’ ‘He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ’ (Phil 1:6). Even when we stay in grace, we’re always moving upward.”
