Life Beyond Fear

“The grace that makes believers gracious also makes them fearless. From our past, we dread the dismal record of our sins even more than we fear calamities and loss. But grace allows us to look backward without guilt and forward with anticipation. All that we’ve done has been forgiven; all that we are is now embraced; all that we will become in Christ will be protected by His presence. ‘Fear not,’ He says to all disciples. ‘Take heart! I have overcome the world’ (John 16:33). Grace lets us even now breathe the atmosphere of where we’ll spend eternity. So stay in grace.”
