Fully Know and Fully Loved

“It is the glory of the Word that He is ‘full of grace and truth’ (John 1:14). There is no deficit of candor in the love that finally saves us. Jesus makes a realistic assessment of our sin and brokenness—unvarnished, unsentimental—even as He acts to resurrect and renovate. How wonderful to learn that we are fully known and yet still fully loved! When others separate themselves from shame, Jesus moves toward those His law finds all-deficient. The hands we scarred are still the hands most eager to embrace us. So stay in grace.”
