Freely Chosen

“God's passion to save all the lost is tempered by one greater love: that none be saved against their will. Grace is not grace when it is unavoidable and irresistible. A gift imposed is not a gift, for it requires what must be freely chosen and received. ‘For freedom Christ has set us free’ (Gal 5:1). Jesus is as gracious to those who reject Him as He is to those who celebrate His love. The challenge for my heart today—for yours—is to so align with Christ that I cease all my habits of resistance. Today, I choose to sing the song, and yes: it really is amazing. So stay in grace.”
