Chosen By Grace

The great temptation for those who understand themselves part of Christ’s last-day remnant people is to think that they have been included on some other basis than His grace. The exercise of our free will, like every other kind of exercise, only aligns us to receive in body, mind, and spirit the fullness of His unmerited gift. Though we celebrate the importance of our choices, heaven wisely choruses the value of His choice to do what He wasn’t obligated to do: “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Rom 5:8). Jesus forms the remnant through His blood and through His call—and those who cherish His grace “follow the Lamb wherever he goes” (Rev 14:4). Stay in grace.
