Hoffman offered the two freezers and cooking stove to the
Pocono Grace Church in the borough of East Stroudsburg on the condition that
church members pick them up at his Central Park condo in New York, the Columbia
Union Visitor magazine reported this week.

The total cost to rent a truck and pay for gas and toll road
fees: $300.

Columbia Union Visitor said more details about the donation
were not immediately available.

The Pocono Grace Church started as a Sabbath school class in
the early 1990s, according to its website. East Stroudsburg is located about 70
miles (110 kilometers) from New York.

Hoffman, 76, has twice won the Academy award for best actor,
in the 1980 film Kramer vs. Kramer and the 1988 film Rain Man.
