Daily Bible Study Expands to Include Ellen G. White

Adventist Review/ANN

Believe His Prophets, the sequel to the popular Revived by His Word, will kick off on July 12, the Sunday following General Conference session.

This online daily interactive Bible study blog, coordinated by the GC Ministerial Association, has expanded to include seven books by Adventist Church cofounder Ellen G. White: Steps to Christ, Christ’s Object Lessons, and the five-volume Conflict of the Ages series. Developers of the initiative say the Spirit of Prophecy readings will enhance the five-year study plan.

“Believe His Prophets takes daily reading of the inspired writings to the next level,” said Derek Morris, editor of Ministry magazine and coordinator of the program. “Thousands have been blessed by God as a result of Revived by His Word, and we believe thousands more will gain an even deeper understanding of God’s will for their lives through Believe His Prophets.”

The name Believe His Prophets is based on 2 Chronicles 20:20: “Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be established; believe his prophets, and you will succeed” (ESV*)—counsel that church leaders say every member should take seriously. More than 100 church leaders and laypeople will contribute primary blogs as part of the daily readings, and hundreds more will interact online.

“God’s Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, so our goal is to encourage church members to spend time with God in prayer and reading the Bible every day,” Morris said. “Believe His Prophets will be a vibrant interactive community of Christian brothers and sisters from around the world.”

The reading of the closing chapters of Revelation under Revived by His Word will be completed on July 11, just before the July 12 launch of Believe His Prophets.
