Pastors' Families Invited to Watch Special Online Program

, IAD

A region of the Seventh-day Adventist Church will feature a special online program on the evening of Friday, Feb. 6, aimed at strengthening the more than 3,400 pastoral families across its territory — and welcomes anyone who wants to join in.rsz pastoralfamily400

The one-hour program, presented by the Inter-American Division at the start of the Adventist Church’s pastoral family week of prayer, seeks to encourage pastors and their families to pause and seek God together during the year, organizers said.

The program, which begins at 7 p.m. Eastern Time, will feature spiritual messages, prayer sessions and music, and will be carried in English, Spanish and French.

Hector Sanchez, ministerial association secretary for the Inter-American Division, said that pausing to focus on the importance of nurturing pastoral families through the Word of God and prayer is crucial to strengthening local churches across the vast territory.

“We want to continue strengthening our pastoral families because we depend on them to guide and lead the more than 20,000 churches and congregations in the Inter-American Division,” Sanchez said.

The program is part of the Inter-American Division’s Year of the Pastor. The division represent countries in the Caribbean and Central America.

The live program will focus on Family Ministries, Ministerial Association and Shepherdess ministries. Pastors and their families will be able to follow themes emphasized in a special week of prayer magazine available at 2015.interamerica.org.
