What is Adventist World?
Adventist World is the name of the new international edition of the Adventist
Review.
Why is the church starting it?
For the same reason James White started the church paper in 1849--to bind together
the Adventist family as we wait for Jesus' soon return.
Doesn't the Adventist Review already do that?
Yes, but the Adventist Review circulates mainly in North America. Adventist
World will serve the global church.
How often will Adventist World come out?
Every month.
How many pages?
Thirty-two, with color.
How large a print run?
At least l million copies (estimated readers: 5 million).
Will it be similar to the present Adventist Review?
Yes and no.
It will contain editorials, news, letters, and articles on devotional life,
doctrine, and the Adventist lifestyle. But in other ways it will be different.
How will it be different?
No ads in the 32 pages.
Cover story always on mission around the world--exciting things are happening!
Most writers from outside North America.
An article on world health.
A two-page, tear-out Bible study in simple English for teaching purposes.
All articles except the cover story to be one or two pages only.
Plus--a completely new design.
What will it cost me?
Nothing. The General Conference is funding the issue.
I subscribe to the weekly Adventist Review. What will
happen to my regular issues?
You will continue to receive the church paper each week. Instead
of the current World Edition each month, you'll receive Adventist World.
When does Adventist World start?
September 2005.
