Please discourage any solicitations for funds or expensive equipment. Check with your local post office, since books or magazines can be boxed up (separately) and sent in M-bags. Use "economy" service (shipment by ship, four-month delivery). Book rate is about $1.00 per pound; magazine rate is somewhat more. For some countries it is important to mark packages "Free Material-No Commercial Value" so the recipients do not have to pay duty on them. Also please note that videos for use in the U.S.A. may be incompatible for use in most other countries.
