Return to Main Story

What is an average day like for you at home?
I usually practice piano/organ at least four hours a day. I read books and watch TV and do some household chores.

Do you have any brothers or sisters? And if so, do you see them much?
I have three younger brothers. We live in the same house in Talisay City, in the central Philippines. The oldest is 14 years old, the second is 12, and the youngest is 10. They are all studying at Negros Mission Academy, an Adventist school. The concerts I did during my tour of the United States last year were to raise money for their school.

Besides playing the piano, what are some other favorite activities?
Reading books, playing the organ, using the computer.

What is your favorite Bible text and why?
Psalm 25. It's God's promise that no matter what happens, as long as we come back to Him and ask for forgiveness, He's always there to grant us His enduring mercy and forgive us our sins. He will guide us in the way we should go. He'll comfort us in our distress and give us hope for a brighter tomorrow.
What is your favorite piece of music?

"God Will Make a Way." It's true that He'll make a way for us even if there seems to be no way. All it takes is an honest prayer. I've been through a lot since childhood. It's inevitable that some of my classmates would tease me and say stuff that could break my heart. Moreover, I couldn't tell this to my parents, because it seemed as though they weren't there for me. However, I'm happy that God was and is there.

Which book of yours would have the most dog-eared pages?
Chicken Soup for the Soul, because one can learn a lot from people's different life experiences/stories, most of which are heartwarming and life enriching.

What is the one place you'd like to visit the most?
The Holy Land.

What hopes/goals do you have for the future?
I'd like to buy my own house, buy my own car, and maybe have my own family, too. I still don't have that someone special whom I can spend the rest of my life with (my "Prince Charming"), but I'm sure in God's own time he'll just come knocking on my door!

What advice do you have for other young adults your age?
Remember that "God don't make no junk," as the saying goes. Everyone is special in His sight.
