ore than 200 members of the General Conference Executive Committee, the highest ruling body of the Seventh-day Adventist church, gathered at the Adventist World Headquarters, for the committee's annual Spring Meeting April, 17-19. The main purpose of Spring Meeting, one of two regular business session of the committee, is to review the church's audited financial statements.
This year's meetings was especially important because the 2001 Annual Council, the committee's regular other business session, was shortened due to the terrorist attacks of September 11, and several policy items on the agenda then, were held until now. As a service to our readers the Adventist Review presents ongoing coverage of the meetings with a series of daily reports, commentaries, and other resources.
